Jason Davis begins his sixth year at Marietta College in 2022-23 as the head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach. He will handle the Pioneer distance and mid-distance runners, throwers and multi athletes as well as serve as the program’s recruiting coordinator.

Davis has coached seven All-American's in his time at Marietta College.  In addition to the seven All-American's he has coached a two time national runner up in the women's high jump.  Davis has coached three OAC individual champions in the men's pole vault, the women's high jump, and the women's shot put.

Davis comes to Marietta after serving as the head cross country and track and field coach for four years at Lake Superior State, an NCAA Division II member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. During his tenure at LSSU, he coached nine All-Americans including Justin Dieck, the 2015 NCAA Division II indoor shot put national champion and 2016 runner up.

Prior to taking over the LSSU program, Davis spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Susquehanna University, an NCAA Division III member of the Landmark Conference. He was responsible for coaching the River Hawk pole vaulters, jumpers, sprinters and multi-event athletes.

Davis helped the River Hawks to back-to-back Landmark indoor and outdoor runner-up finishes on both the men’s and women’s side in 2010-11 and 2011-12. Susquehanna was named the Landmark Conference Staff of the Year three times; men’s outdoor (2012), women’s indoor (2012) and women’s outdoor (2011).

Davis also spent time as an assistant coach at Division II institutions Bloomsburg in 2009-10 and Lees-McRae from 2005-09. He served as the head women’s cross country coach at Division III Mount Saint Joseph in 2001-02 and began his coaching career at OAC member Wilmington College as an assistant coach in 2000-01.

Davis received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wilmington College in 2001. Davis and his wife Arianne live in Cambridge with their son Ian.
