Mark Walton

Mark Walton begins his first year as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Marietta College in 2018-19.

Walton come to Marietta after spending the last two years as a graduate assistant at Muskingum University. Walton coached the Muskie hitters, catchers and infielders as well as coordinating their strength and condition program.

Walton played collegiately at Otterbein University where he was a three-year letterman and served as a team captain. Walton was a catcher for the Cardinals until his senior year when he moved to third base earning first team All-OAC honors.

A native of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Walton was a three-sport athlete at Upper Sandusky High School playing baseball, basketball and soccer.

Walton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with an Intervention Specialist concentration from Otterbein in 2016. He completed a Master’s degree in Adult Education at Muskingum in 2018.
