Walk On Rowing at Marietta!
Rowing is a competitive, endurance sport that trains stamina, athleticism and teamwork!

A little-known fact is over 50% of athletes who row for collegiate programs each fall have never been in a boat before they got to campus. College is about trying something new — this could be the "new" for you!

Frequently asked questions:

What does a typical training week look like?
We practice 5-6 days/week for about 90 minutes. Most practices are in the afternoon after 4 p.m.

What does a typical season look like?
Practices begin a few weeks into the fall semester. We have a short fall season and a longer spring championship season.

Where would I row?
We have our own boathouse located 3/4 of a mile away from campus! we row on both the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers.

Where do we travel?
We compete at the largest races in the nation. We have traveled to the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass., The Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa, attend training trips to Georgia, and have competed at national competitions in California, New Jersey and more.

Does it cost me anything to row?
No! We are a fully funded, NCAA Division III varsity sport.

How do I walk on?
The first step is to attend the walk-on interest meeting at the start of the fall semester. In the meantime, complete our interest form for more information!
