2021 Marietta College Outdoor Meet Information

Event Schedule
Entry Fee
  • $300 per team. Men's and Women's teams count separately.
  • $20 per individual athlete.
  • Unattached athletes are allowed at $20 per individual. (Please no high school entries)
Entry Fees will be based on entries not participation. No Refunds.

Entries / Entry Deadlines

All Entries will go through Direct Athletics:

  • Deadline: Midnight on the Tuesday before the meet.
  • A performance list confirming all entries will be available on this page on the Wednesday prior to each contest by 10:00 p.m., if not earlier.
  • Please notify meet director of any scratches no later than the day before the meet.
  • Absolutely no entries will be accepted the day of the meet.
  • Heat sheets will be emailed out the night before the meet.
Athletic Training
  • The training room will be available for treatment (e-stem, ultra-sound, heat).
  • Athletes will need a note with treatment instructions from their own athletic trainers in order to receive treatment.
  • Athletic trainers will be on hand to assist with injuries and emergencies during the competition.
  • Taping can be done by our student athletic trainers but your athletes will need to supply the taping materials.

If any additional modality treatment is needed, visiting teams must contact Brianna Houle, at bh008@marietta.edu to set up an appointment.

Facility
  • 400m Poly Mat SS (polyurethane), installed in July 2005 and resurfaced in July 2016.
  • 8 lanes
  • We have 8 sets of regular blocks. Feel free to bring your own blocks. (Only 1/4" spikes in the base plate of the blocks.)
  • All jumping runways/surfaces are Polyurethane.
  • Throwing events are brushed concrete.
  • Javelin runway is polyurethane.
  • Horizontal jump boards are at 5, 28, 32, 37 and 41 feet.
Infield
  • Water is the only drink allowed on the FieldTurf football field. No food or drink other than water should be on the turf. Athletes may warm up on the turf.
Meet Conduct
  • NCAA rules.
Performance List
  • Will be posted by 10 p.m. on Wednesday before the meet.
Implements
  • Weigh-ins will take place 2 hours before competition in the tunnel under the stadium bleachers. This is the only time we will be certifying implements. Implements not making weight will be impounded until the end of competition.
Timing
  • Fully Automatic Finish Lynx Timing System.
Scoring
  • Team scores will be kept. Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. Unattached athletes will be omitted.
Results
  • Posted as available on the walls within the tunnel of the stadium.
  • Full results will be available shortly after the meet and will also be available on our Web page at http://pioneers.marietta.edu.
Getting to Marietta College
Parking
  • Buses will be parked in the gravel lot off of 4th St. adjacent to the hammer cage. Parking for vans and cars can take place along the outside of the stadium walls and fencing along South Sixth street and Hart street. There will be no parking on South Fifth street along the stadium. [Map (PDF)] Anyone parking near the hammer/discus cage will do so at their own risk. Parking inside of the stadium will be for meet workers, officials and Marietta College employees only. Concessions
  • There will be no concession stand open for this competition.
Team Camps
  • Please set up team camps in the bleachers. Please no team camps on the infield.
