Directions to Broughton

Directions from the:

NORTH: Take I-77 South To Exit 6, Marietta/Route 821.

EAST: Take I-70 West to I-77 South to Exit 6, Marietta/Route 821.

From Exit 6, make a right onto Route 821. Follow route 821 approximately 2.2 miles. You will come to a large gravel parking area on the right side of Route 821 (you should see a flag pole next to the road with several flags including a Marietta College flag). Enter this parking area and you will see a large wooden sign for the Broughton Wildlife area and behind it is a secondary parking area for team vans and spectators. Buses should park in this initial parking lot.

SOUTH: Take I-77 North To Exit 6, Marietta/Route 821.
From Exit 6, make a left onto Route 821. Follow route 821 approximately 2.2 miles. You will come to a large gravel parking area on the right side of Route 821 (you should see a flag pole next to the road with several flags including a Marietta College flag). Enter this parking area and you will see a large wooden sign for the Broughton Wildlife area and behind it is a secondary parking area for team vans and spectators. FROM ROUTE 7 SOUTH AND/OR DOWNTOWN MARIETTA:
Turn onto 3rd Street, follow 3rd Street all the way through town to the edge of town (approximately 3 miles). Third Street becomes Route 60 as you leave town. At the edge of town the road will diverge into Route 60 (left lane) and Route 821 (right lane). Merge into right lane and follow Route 821 north approximately _ mile. You will come to a large gravel parking area on the left side of Route 821 (you should see a flag pole next to the road with several flags including a Marietta College flag). Enter this parking area and you will see a large wooden sign for the Broughton Wildlife area and behind it is a secondary parking area for team vans and spectators. Buses should park in this initial parking lot.

WEST: Take U.S. 50 East to Belpre, OH to Rt-7. Follow Rt-7 into Marietta (becomes Washington Avenue) and follow to 3rd Street. Turn left at the intersection of 3rd and Washington. Follow 3rd Street all the way through town to the edge of town (approximately 3 miles). Third Street becomes Route 60 as you leave town. At the edge of town the road will diverge into Route 60 (left lane) and Route 821 (right lane). Merge into right lane and follow Route 821 north approximately _ mile. About the Broughton Nature and Wildlife Education Area…The wildlife area contains more than 500 acres of land and is available for wildlife and environmental study by groups or individuals. It is an educational area with several trails, two ponds, a natural stream, waterfall and several areas of undisturbed nature located about one mile north of Marietta. The main entrance and parking area is located off of Ohio 821. The Route 60 entrance is behind the Marietta Bible College. The nature area is open when the gates are unlocked. This area is open to the public at no charge.
