2010: Earned All-Region second team and All-OAC first team as well as his second varsity letter as a junior outfielder…Started all 49 games in center field…Ranked first on the team and third in the league with a .412 batting average…Also led the team in with 77 hits and 19 doubles while adding three triples and three home runs to go along with 51 runs scored and 50 RBI…Posted a 30-game hitting streak, which ranks second all-time at Marietta…Paced the team with 27 multiple-hit games and added 13 multiple-RBI games…Tied a career-best with three hits on seven occasions…Drove in a career-high five against Dubuque…Fielded 1.000 with 97 chances to earn a Mideast Region Gold Glove.

2009: Earned a starting role in the outfield and his first varsity letter as a sophomore…Made 23 starts in center field and 11 starts in right field…Batted .318 with 13 doubles and three home runs to go along with 34 runs scored and 16 RBI…Finished the year with 14 multiple-hit games, including three-hit efforts against Wooster, John Carroll and Adrian.

2008: Came off the bench to play in 10 varsity games as a freshman infielder.

Coach Brewer says: “John had a breakout season last year. He is a leader, and you know he is going to give you his best at whatever he does. Since last spring, John has improved greatly, starting with being named an All-Star in the New York Collegiate League. John is primed for an outstanding senior season.”
