MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College head football coach
Tom Hinkle has officially announced the addition of Glen Logan to the Pioneer football coaching staff. Logan will be stepping into the role of defensive line coach for the team, bringing his expertise to the program as they prepare for the upcoming season.
"We are very excited for Glen to join the Marietta College Football Family," said Hinkle. "He brings a ton of experience playing at the highest levels possible. I can't wait to see him interact with our players and the community. The defensive line is in great hands for the foreseeable future."
Logan comes to Marietta after completing a tremendous career which included playing for the 2019 Louisiana State University National Championship winning team. During that remarkable undefeated season with the Tigers, he contributed to one of the most dominant college football teams in history. Following his collegiate success, Logan transitioned to the professional ranks, showcasing his talents in the NFL. In 2021, Logan signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Cleveland Browns, where he gained valuable experience at the highest level of the sport. Most recently, he continued his professional journey on the gridiron with the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL.
The Kenner, Louisiana native spent the last season as the Defensive Coordinator and Head Powerlifting Coach at Eisenhower High School in Houston, Texas, bringing the knowledge he gained from the elite coaches he served in his college and professional levels. He now aims to transition his proven ability to develop top-tier talent to the college ranks, assisting with the strategies designed to strengthen the Pioneers' defensive game plan.
After earning his bachelor's degree in human resources from LSU in 2020, Logan is currently working toward a master's degree in Sport Management. He makes his home in Marietta alongside his girlfriend, Nia Williams, and his two sons, Royal and Chosen.
"Glen is a family man and that is a huge deal for me," concluded Hinkle. "We are building a family here, and those experiences will help him bond with our players. Glen will be a role model to many of our guys, and I can't wait to see him in action."
The Pioneers are scheduled to kick off their season at home with a special Thursday night matchup against Westminster College on September 3rd. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
