MEADVILLE, Pa. — Parker Bolin (Albany, Ohio/Alexander) scored a pair of goals as Marietta College earned a 2-2 draw at Allegheny College Saturday (Sept. 20) afternoon, The Pioneers move to 3-4-2 overall, while Allegheny is now 2-4-3 on the season.

"Credit to the boys for getting something out of the game after going down twice but the overall performance was poor," Marietta head coach Joe Bergin said. "We are about to go into our toughest stretch of the season and playing at our recent level will not be enough, plain and simple."

Allegheny broke the scoreless tie in the 38th minute. Will Gruca scored the first goal of the match with an assist from Renen Frank. The Gators led 1-0 at halftime.

Parker Bolin (Albany, Ohio/Alexander), the leading goal scorer in the Ohio Athletic Conference, leveled the match in the 49th minute off an assist from Teo Holliman (Columbus, Ohio/Grandview Heights). Three minutes later Gruca put Allegheny back in front with assists from Cole Bowser and Ranson Perkins.

Once again, Bolin leveled the match. The Pioneer striker scored in the 81st minute with an assist from Connor Heramb (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South). Bolin has 10 goals on the season, the most by a Pioneer since Taylor Reasoner scored 15 goals in 2015.

Neither team was able to punch another goal in during the final 10 minutes of the match leaving the final score, 2-2.

Marietta hosts No. 1 ranked Denison University on Wednesday (Sept. 24) at 7 p.m.
