LEXINGTON, Kentucky — Two Pioneer volleyball players earned American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region 7 honors. For the second consecutive season,
Jillian Fellers (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) and
Emory Spitler (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) were both named to the first team.
"I couldn't be prouder of Emory and Jilli," said Marietta head volleyball coach
Kristy Anderson. "They not only work on the court but strive daily to embody the culture of MCVB off the court! Coaching them and getting to do life with them these past four years has been such an honor."
Fellers led the Pioneers with 319 kills and 5.4 kills per set, leading her to break the Marietta College record for kills in a career with 1,282. She was also eighth in the OAC with 32 service aces and tenth in the OAC with 3.4 digs per set.
This is Spitler's third All-Region honor after earning honorable mention in 2023 and first team the last two seasons. Spitler averaged 10.52 assists per set, which was tops in the leading the OAC. She was also 11th in the OAC with 3.1 digs per set. Spitler set the Marietta College career record for assist with 3,975.
Marietta finished the season with a record of 17-8 overall, and 8-1 in OAC play, leading them to their second straight OAC Regular Season championship.
