WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Marietta College men's and women's cross country team raced in the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College Friday (Oct. 17) afternoon. The Pioneer men finished 12th, while the women placed 20th.
Cedarville won the men's team title with 42 total points. Mount Vernon Nazarene was second with 93 points, followed by Rio Grande (119 points), St. Francis (124), Shawnee State (161), Wilmington (188), Thomas More (190), Hanover (210), Wooster (274), Georgetown (316), Rochester (341), Marietta (354), West Virginia Tech (369), Muskingum (392), Earlham (393), Anderson (394), Berea (418), and Ohio Christian (519).
Wilmington's Tate Yoder won the men's individual title with a time of 25:28.6 on the 8,000-meter course.
Charles Putnam (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) was Marietta's top finisher posting a time of 26:35.4 to place 23rd overall.
A pair of Pioneers et personal best times in the race.
Max King (Granville, Ohio/Granville) (30:56.9) and
Hunter Wick (Seymour, Ind./Seymour) (38:02.8) turned in personal record times at the 8K distance.

Charles Estadt (Caldwell, Ohio/Shenandoah) (28:53.3),
Aiden Westerman (Vincent, Ohio/Warren Local) (29:02.2),

Eastern Michigan won the women's team title with 66 points. Wittenberg placed second with 102 points, followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (104), St. Francis (113), Thomas More (118), Hanover (130), Rio Grande (203), Georgetown (271), Northern Kentucky (281), Shawnee State (283), Muskingum (292), Berea (306), Wooster (334), Wilmington (367), Ohio Dominican (411), Anderson (416), Indiana Northwest (482), Rochester (496), Marietta (552), and Pikeville (659).
Eastern Michigan's Liv Hatch claimed the women's individual crown with a time of 18:04.0 on the 5,000-meter course.
