ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Marietta College women's lacrosse team dropped a road contest 16-7, at the University of Mount Union on Saturday (April 17) afternoon. With the win the Purple Raiders improve to 11-1 overall, and the with the loss the Pioneers are now 6-8 overall.
"Not happy about the loss but I'm very pleased with the teams performance today. Despite the score, there was a competitive edge to the entire match against a top conference team," said Head Coach
Malory Nadrah. "We fought hard and improved in a lot of areas from Wednesday's game. We were much more competitive on the circle and played great defense throughout the game."
Mount Union opened the game with five straight goals, to lead 5-0 just over 10 minutes into the game. Marietta answered two minutes later when
Rachel Sivie (Washington, Pa./Trinity) scored. The Pioneers made the score 5-2 when

Lindsay Horton (Birmingham, Ala./John Carroll Catholic), Hurd, and
