MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College defeated The College of Wooster by the score of 84-29 Wednesday (Dec. 29) evening in the first round of the 36th annual Jim Meagle Holiday Tournament sponsored by BSN Sports. The Pioneers improve to 8-1 overall, while the Scots fall to 3-8 on the season.
"Our energy was great the entire game. We had everyone that suited up for us score tonight, and a big part of that was their bench energy," Marietta head coach
Kole Vivian said. "We stayed lock in and supported each other. This just shows the depth of our roster."
Marietta scored the first nine points of the game and never looked back. The Pioneers held Wooster to single digit points in three of the four quarters, including just seven total points in the second half.
