MARIETTA, Ohio — For the tenth straight year, Marietta College is ranked among the nation's leaders in NCAA Division III Men's Basketball attendance. The Pioneers finished fourth this season as the top five schools all came from the Great Lakes Region.

"The continued support that our program receives from our students and the Marietta community is special," said Pioneer head coach Jon VanderWal. "Ban Johnson has become one of the premier arenas for Division III basketball. Our players feed off the energy in the building and that makes us very tough to beat at home."

The Pioneers averaged 1,250 fans during the 13 games hosted in Ban Johnson Arena. Hope led the nation averaging 2,214 fans per game. Wittenberg (1,392) was second followed by Wooster (1,260), Marietta (1,250) and Calvin (1,246).

Wisconsin-Stevens Point (1,097) finished sixth with Randolph-Macon (950), Saint John's (MN) (907), Whitworth (905) and Augustana (IL) (897) rounding out the Top-10. Mount Union came in eleventh with 842 fans per game.

This is the tenth straight year the Pioneers have ranked in the Top-10.
