MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College cheerleading advisor
Jill Ruff announced an expansion of the Pioneer Spirit Program Monday (August 13) morning. Beginning this fall, the newly created Marietta College Dancers will perform at home football and basketball games.
The new dance team will perform on-field pom, hip hop and jazz routines in addition to sideline dances. Interested Marietta College students can contact Ruff at
jmb001@marietta.edu. Video auditions will be required followed by a training camp later this month.
The Pioneer Spirit Program encompasses the Marietta College Cheerleaders and the new Marietta College Dancers. Their priority is to support the College's athletic teams by entertaining and leading the crowd in school spirit to raise the level of fan support.
