Box Score GRAYSON, Ky. — The Marietta College volleyball team lost a non-conference match at Kentucky Christian University by the score of 3-1 Tuesday (Sept. 19) evening. The Knights posted set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 18-25 and 25-23 in the victory.
The loss drops the Pioneers to 6-8 on the season. Kentucky Christian improves to 10-1 overall.
Darcy Irish (Lagrange, Ohio/Keystone) led the Pioneer with 10 kills.
Sam Ritenour (Jeffersonville, Ohio/Miami Trace) and
Amanda Arrowood (Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Groveport Madison) finished with nine and eight kills, respectively.
Ellie Gerber (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) had a team-high 19 assists and
Maddie Nader (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) dished out 16 assists.
Emily Peters (Elyria, Ohio/Keystone) anchored the Pioneer defense recording 28 digs on the back row.
Erica Denallo (Parma, Ohio/Independence) added 16 digs and Arrowood had three blocks.
Marietta is back in action on Friday (Sept. 23) when the Pioneers play a 5 p.m. match at Ohio University-Chillicothe.
