BW knocks off #6 Men's Basketball with buzzer beater

MARIETTA, Ohio — Michael Quiring banked in desperation three-pointer at the buzzer as Baldwin Wallace upset No. 6 Marietta College, 73-72, Saturday (Dec. 2) afternoon in Ban Johnson Arena.  The Yellow Jackets improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers slip to 5-1 and 1-1 in the conference.

Dillon Young (Laurelville, Ohio/Logan Elm) hit a pair of free throws with 4.2 seconds left on the clock to give Marietta a 72-70 lead. The Yellow Jackets, out of timeouts, inbounded the ball to Jay Battle who raced up the right side of the court and passed to Quiring on the left side.

Quiring fired off a fade away shot that banked off the glass and went in as time expired. The BW win snapped Marietta's 39-game home regular season winning streak.
