MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College and Waynesburg University battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw Saturday (Sept. 24) afternoon in women's soccer action at Don Drumm Stadium. The Pioneers move to 5-3-1 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets are 3-4-1 overall.
Marietta's defense posted its fourth clean sheet of the season. Led by senior 
Cassie Wint (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster), the Pioneer defense limited Waynesburg to only five shots on goal.
In addition to Wint, 
Jorden Stuart (Huber Heights, Ohio/Wayne), 
Brittany Palm (Prosperity, Pa./McGuffey), 
Amanda Augustyniak (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington Central) and 
Meredith Snow (Millersburg, Ohio/West Holmes) comprised the Pioneer back line. Keeper 
Rebecca Tenney (Pepper Pike, Ohio/Orange) had five saves in the shutout.
Freshman Kayla Tomin just missed an early goal when she hit the post a little over four minutes into the match. The Pioneers stayed on the attack for most of the day outshooting Waynesburg 20-10.
Courtney Syfert was up to the challenge. Syfert went the distance in goal for Waynesburg and notched five saves.
The Pioneers took 10 corner kicks in the match to just one for Waynesburg.
