GAMBIER, Ohio — Kenyon College swept Marietta College 3-0 Thursday (Oct. 29) evening in nonconference volleyball action. The Ladies posted set scores of 25-8, 25-14 and 25-14 improving to 12-11 on the season. Marietta moves to 9-18 overall.
Marietta struggled to get its offensive attack going committing 23 attack errors in the match. Kenyon was firing on all cylinders amassing 35 kills and 12 service aces in three sets.
Devin Walter (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) had five kills to lead Marietta.
Shauntiel Oliver-Smith (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria) chipped in with three kills, while
Amanda Arrowood (Reynoldsburg, Ohio/Groveport Madison) added a pair.
Mallory Vodopich (Canton, Ohio/Massillon Perry) had a team-best nine assists.

Mary Ervin (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) anchored the back line for the Pioneers recording a match-high 14 digs. Walter finished with eight digs and two blocks, while Vodopich and
Emily Peters (Elyria, Ohio/Keystone) had six digs each.
Marietta hosts Ohio Northern University on Saturday (Oct. 31) at 1:00 p.m. The Pioneers will honor their three seniors prior to the start of the match.
