ADA, Ohio — Ohio Northern University swept Marietta College in Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball action Saturday (Nov. 1) afternoon. The Polar Bears posted set scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-17.
With the loss, Marietta finishes the regular season with a 10-19 overall record and 2-7 in the OAC. The Pioneers will be the No. 8 seed in the OAC Tournament next week and will play at top-seeded Mount Union on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Juniors
Devin Walter (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) and
Chloe Janson (Lawrenceburg, Ind./East Central) led the Pioneer attack. Walter finished with 11 kills and a .250 attack percentage, while Janson had 10 kills and a .320 attack percentage. Janson also posted three blocks in the match.
Senior setter
Laura Mauer (Terre Haute, Ind./North) recorded 24 assists, 10 digs and three solo blocks. Libero
Mary Ervin (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) had a team-high 15 digs.
