MARIETTA, Ohio — The No. 6-ranked University of Mount Union Purple Raiders swept Marietta College 3-0 Tuesday (Oct. 7) evening in Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball action. Mount Union posted set scores of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-21 to improve to 19-2 overall and 2-0 in the OAC.
Marietta (8-13 overall, 1-2 OAC) was led by juniors
Chloe Janson (Lawrenceburg, Ind./East Central) and
Kennedy Clyde (Chagrin Falls/Hawken School) who each had seven kills in the match. Janson had three blocks, while Cylde posted a match-high 17 digs.
Senior setter
Laura Mauer (Terre Haute, Ind./North) recorded a match-high 23 assists. Defensively, libero
Mary Ervin (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) had 12 digs and
Julia Moskaluk (Copley/Revere) added 10 digs.
