Box Score WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Marietta College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Waynesburg (Pa.) College Saturday (Sept. 15) afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 2-4 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-3 overall.

After a scoreless first half, Waynesburg's Nick Brommer took a pass from James Sneed and found the back of the net for the only goal of the match.

The first period was evenly played with the Yellow Jackets taking seven shots and the Pioneers had six. Each team's goalkeeper made four saves in the opening stanza.

For the match, Marietta's Chris Stollar (Marietta/Marietta) recorded six saves. Brandon Daughtry had seven saves in goal for Waynesburg.

Each team took 14 shots and the Yellow Jackets had two corners, while the Pioneers were held without a corner kick.

Marietta hosts Bethany (W.Va.) College on Tuesday (Sept. 18) at 4 p.m.
