Box Score GAMBIER, Ohio – Kenyon College defeated Marietta College by the score of 5-0 Thursday (Sept. 13) evening in women's soccer. The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-5 on the season while the Ladies improve to 2-3 overall.
Kenyon sophomore Becca Romaine gave the Ladies an early lead when she scored less than five minutes into the match. Kenyon would add two more first half goals for a 3-0 lead at the intermission.
The Pioneers were held without a shot in the second half as Kenyon tallied two more goals. For the match, Kenyon took 33 shots to Marietta's one.

Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange) made seven saves for the Pioneers. Kenyon's Lauren Wolfe recorded the shutout in net for the Ladies.
Marietta is back in action on Saturday (Sept. 15) for a 2 p.m. match at Waynesburg (Pa.) College.
