TIFFIN, Ohio – Heidelberg University defeated Marietta College by the score of 75-61 in Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball action Saturday (Dec. 15) afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 4-5 on the season and 1-4 in the OAC. Heidelberg improves to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Booth notched her first career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marietta in both categories.
Heidelberg outscored the Pioneers 19-10 over the final 7:45 of the first half to take a 40-31 advantage into the locker room at the break.
Marietta got within four points, 48-44, when Booth sunk a layup with 11:46 left in the game. Heidelberg scored the next six points to push the lead back into double figures. The Student Princes' biggest lead of the game was 15 points, 73-58, in the last minute of play.
Junior guard Kathleen Phillips poured in a game-high 25 points. Senior Jordan Ickes chipped in with 15 points. Sophomore Paige Ricketts had 14 points and five steals, while junior Kyra Dorney added 10 points and a team-best nine boards.
In addition to Booth's 18 points, Alexander hit 6-of-8 from the floor and finished with 13 points. Alexander and #

Marietta shot 30.9% (21-of-68) from the floor, 8.3% (1-of-12) from three-point range and 62.1% (18-of-29) from the line. Heidelberg hit 27-of-67 (40.3%) from the floor, 7-of-20 (35.0%) behind the arc and 14-of-18 (77.8%) from the charity stripe.
The Pioneers won the battle of the boards 45-39. Marietta committed 20 turnovers, while the Student Princes turned the ball over 14 times.
