MARIETTA, Ohio – The Marietta College women's soccer team ended the season with a 5-1 loss to Baldwin Wallace University Saturday (Oct. 27) at Marietta Field. The Pioneers finish 3-13-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. [

Baldwin Wallace (12-3-4, 6-2-1 OAC) tallied five goals before the Pioneers got on the board with a goal in the 86th minute. Lindsey Cooper got things rolling for the Yellow Jackets with an unassisted goal in the 18th minute.
Katie Klespies made it 2-0 at halftime when she scored her first goal of the season at the 40:55 mark. Rachel Gokey centered the ball to Klespies at the top of the 18-yard box. Klespies dribbled into the box and fired a shot inside the left post for the goal.
Baldwin Wallace extended the lead to 3-0 less than two minutes into the second half. A scramble for the ball in front of the Marietta net led to a goal by Heather Keller. Kadi Tucker and Kari Trivisonno added goals for the Yellow Jackets making it 5-0 in the 79th minute.
Three of Marietta's four seniors played a role in the Pioneers' lone goal of the afternoon. Senior #
Erin Panczyk (Twinsburg/Twinsburg)# got behind the Yellow Jacket defense and was taken down just outside the 18-yard box by the BW keeper, who was issued a red card for the infraction.

Hannah Duncan (Norwalk/Norwalk)# who slipped the ball into the net for her first career goal.

Katie May (Norwalk/Norwalk)# were honored prior to the match for their four-year careers in the Navy Blue and White.

Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange)# had eight saves in goal for the Pioneers, while Emily Tallmadge had two saves for the Yellow Jackets.
Baldwin Wallace took 25 shots in the match to six for Marietta. The Yellow jackets had a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
