Making just her second start of the season in goal sophomore keeper Karmyn Culbertson withstood a constant barrage by the Pioneers recording 11 saves in the match. Marietta took 16 shots to just four for the Golden Tornadoes.
After a scoreless 90 minutes, the match headed to overtime. In the extra period, Geneva junior Risa Tillman scored the unassisted game-winner in the 96th minute of play.

Christina Tirpak (Galena/Olentangy) had five shots, including four on goal, while Geneva managed just four total shots in the match.
Marietta jumps back into Ohio Athletic Conference play this Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Baldwin-Wallace College.
