Senior forward Courtney Ebersole tallied both Waynesburg goals in the match. Ebersole scored an unassisted goal in the 63rd minute and then notched the game winner in the 87th minute of play.

For the Pioneers, senior midfielder Cara Nuss (Dayton/Carroll) scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 80th minute.

Marietta outshot Waynesburg 16-11 and held a slim advantage in corner kicks, 7-6. Sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange) had four saves for the Pioneers, while senior Katrina Kelly posted five saves for Waynesburg.

The Pioneers are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Geneva College (Pa.) for a 7 p.m. match.
