Christina Tirpak (Galena/Olentangy)# got her first goal of the season when she took a pass from classmate #
Jennifer Wilder (Ashland/Ashland)# and found the back of the net in the 14th minute. Freshman midfielder #
Elissa Collopy (Zanesville/Tri-Valley)# extended the Pioneers' lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal in the 36th minute.
Trailing 2-0 at the half, the Bison regrouped and came out firing in the second half. Julie Lindenfelser got Bethany on the board with an assist from Cassie Spalding in the 56th minute. Paige Prato even the score with an unassisted goal in the 68th and then Spalding tallied the game winner four minutes later.

Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange)# had six saves in goal for Marietta, while Brittany Sadler matched her with six saves for the Bison.
For the match, the Bethany outshot the Pioneers 15-11. Marietta took four corner kicks to Bethany's zero.
Marietta's next match is Wednesday, September 21st when they host Washington and Jefferson in a 4 p.m. match.
