MARIETTA, Ohio – The Marietta College women's soccer team lost to Kenyon College by the score of 2-0 Thursday afternoon at Marietta Field. The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-3-1 on the season. Kenyon is now 3-2 overall. [

Kenyon took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute when midfielder Courtney Hague's through ball found forward Becca Romaine in the middle of the 6-yard box for the score. The Ladies added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute. Senior Virginia Rushton took a cross from midfielder Katie Hoerner outside the right corner of the 6-yard box and pushed the ball past the MC keeper.

For the match, Kenyon outshot the Pioneers 20-9 and held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks. Lauren Wolfe had seven saves in goal for the Ladies.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, September 17th when they travel to Bethany (W.Va.) for a 2 p.m. match.
