Kevin Knab (Lakewood/Lakewood)# scored a game-high 27 points but it wasn't enough as Baldwin-Wallace defeated Marietta College by the score of 93-74 Saturday afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference men's basketball action. Sophomore guard Kevin Krakowiak scored a team-high 17 points to pace B-W. In addition to Krakowiak, sophomore guard Grant Fairhurst scored 16 points, junior forward Chris Ameen tallied 11 points, sophomore forward Kyle Payne contributed 10 points and grabbed a team-best five rebounds and sophomore post Aaron Selmek added 10 points.

Conner Kilpatrick (Bowling Green/Bowling Green)# scored 10 points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds off the bench.
B-W netted the first points of the game when Payne scored a layup on a fast break at the 18:04 mark of the first half. Marietta responded with a jumper from
Jason Humphrey (Naples, Fla./Barron Collier) to tie the game, 2-2.
The two teams battled back and forth in the early stages of the contest until the Yellow Jackets went on a 13-3 run, capped off by a three-pointer by Fairhurst , to take a 22-9 advantage with 10:03 to go in the first half.
B-W extended its lead to as many as 17 points when senior guard Promis Cabbil stroked a jumper at 6:42 to give B-W a 35-18 advantage. The Pioneers closed the half by cutting the Yellow Jacket lead down to 10 points, 43-33, after Knab scored on a layup as time expired in the first half.
In the second half, Marietta cut the B-W lead to down to as few as five points, 44-39, on a three-pointer from #
Tyler Worstell (Prospect/Franklin Heights)# at the 17:54 mark. Krakowiak would answer with a three of his own to extend the Yellow Jacket lead back eight, 47-39, at the 17:37 mark.
After the Krakowiak score, the Yellow Jackets extended their lead to as many as 23 points and went on to secure the 19-point win.
The Pioneers return home to host Muskingum University on Wednesday, December 7th. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
