The loss snaps a five-match winning streak for Marietta and drops the Pioneers to 13-11 overall and 4-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Otterbein, the winner of 10 straight, moves to 21-4 overall and 6-1 OAC.
Otterbein took advantage of the Pioneers' slow start and cruised through the first set. The Cardinals led 7-3 early and steadily increased their lead throughout the set as the Pioneers' attack struggled. Marietta hit minus .107 during the set.
