WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Marietta College women's soccer team lost at Wilmington College by the score of 5-1 Saturday evening. The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-12-1 overall and 0-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Wilmington improves to 5-7-3 overall and 3-2 in league play. [

The Quakers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Lauren Mumaw scored an unassisted goal in the 11th minute and Lauren Price scored on an assist by Sammy Koerner in the 36th minute.

Melina Feitl (Broadview Heights/Holy Name)# collected the pass and then scored Marietta's only goal of the night less than eight minutes into the half.
Wilmington responded four minutes later with the first of their three second half goals. Sarah Watters scored with an assist from Mumaw. Price then added her second goal of the night in the 67th minute. The Quakers' final goal was a header by Rachel Gutowski off a corner from Ashley Garcia.

Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange)# had five saves in goal for the Pioneers, while Abbey Williamson had one.
The Quakers outshot Marietta 17-11. The Pioneers held a slim edge in corner kicks, 5-3.
Marietta hosts Otterbein at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
