WOOSTER, Ohio — Marietta College men's soccer held host the College of Wooster to a single goal but fell 1-0 in non-conference action Tuesday (Sept. 21) afternoon. [

For 90 minutes, the Pioneers (0-5-3) battled the undefeated Fighting Scots (6-0-1), who earlier this season scored 12 goals in two games to win the Marietta Soccer Classic at Marietta Field. On Tuesday, Wooster finished with seven shots, three of which were on goal. Marietta had six shots, finishing with four on goal.
The Fighting Scots broke a scoreless tie in the 75th minute. Walker Diebolt set up the game-winner with a cross to teammate Brian Holmes, who fired a first-touch shot past the keeper for the only goal of the day.
