ADA, Ohio — The Marietta College women's basketball team wrapped up the road portion of its 2009-10 season with a 77-57 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) loss at Ohio Northern University Saturday (Feb. 13) afternoon. [

Senior wing
Whitney Swain (Belpre, Warren Local) continued to pick up the scoring slack for Marietta (3-20, 1-15 OAC), which played its fourth straight game without injured freshman standout
Aleisha Guiler (Lower Salem, Monroe Central). Swain, the lone senior on the squad, finished 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc to score a game-high 17 points.
Freshman guard
Chelsea Doutt (Cambridge, Buckeye Trail) matched a career-high with 13 points and, like Swain, has now scored in double figures in three straight games. Doutt also dished out a season-high five assists. Junior post
Mallory Hoff (New Metamoras, Frontier) added nine points and a game-best seven boards in the game.
Brittany Bogart paced Ohio Northern (14-9, 9-7 OAC) with 13 points and six rebounds. In addition, Katelyn Jones contributed 12 points and Joanna Snyder came off the bench to add 11 in the win.
The Polar Bears led wire-to-wire on Saturday. The built a 19-point advantage in the first half before Marietta closed the gap to 12 points, 38-26, at intermission. The Pioneers briefly cut the deficit to 10 points during the opening moments of the second period, but the Polar Bears steadily pulled away en route to the 20-point victory.
Marietta closes out its season with a pair of home games next week. The Pioneers will play host to Otterbein College on Wednesday (Feb. 17) at 7:30 p.m. and then welcome Wilmington College to Ban Johnson Arena Saturday (Feb. 20) for a Senior Day tip-off at 3 p.m.
