MARIETTA, Ohio — Penn State University-Beaver and the College of Wooster will meet for the
26th annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot title after both schools posted victories Saturday (Nov. 27) evening in the event hosted by Marietta College and sponsored Dixie Sporting Goods, the Hampton Inn, Microtel Inn & Suites and Papa John's Pizza. The Lions opened play with a 68-56 win over the host Pioneers, while the Presidents capped day one with a 69-54 win over the Fighting Scots.
The championship game will take place inside Ban Johnson Arena Saturday (Nov. 28) at 3 p.m. Marietta will host Wooster in the consolation game at 1 p.m.

Shelby Sparks scored a game-high 20 points and the Lions took advantage of 33 Pioneer turnovers to advance to the championship game of the 26th annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot Tournament, sponsored by Dixie Sporting Goods, the Hampton Inn, Microtel Inn & Suites and Papa John's Pizza, Saturday (Nov. 27) evening.
Penn State-Beaver (3-2) had two other players—Jasmine Green and Heather Sandusky—joined Sparks in double-figures, scoring 17 point and 11 points, respectively. Taylor Fulton also contributed a game-high six assists for the Lions, who shot 44.0%

Aleisha Guiler (Lower Salem/Monroe Central)# paced Marietta (2-2) with 17 points and game-high 13 rebounds. Freshman #
Tori Dixon (Londonderry/Vinton County)# scored a team-best 18 points and dished out four assists. Senior #
Mallory Hoff (Newport/Frontier)# added eight points and 11 boards for the Pioneers, who shot 40.4% (21-of-52) and out rebounded the Lions 39-25.
Penn State-Beaver led 27-22 at the break. Marietta regained the lead 46-45 with 7:12 to play in the game, but 13-2 run over the next 3:52 helped the Lions take back control of the game and allowed them to coast to the 68-56 win.

Emily Abraham connected on five of the Presidents' 10 three pointers and finished with a game-best 19 points to lead her squad to a 69-54 victory over the Figthing Scots Saturday (Nov. 27) night in the first round of the 26th annual Jim Meagle Turkey Shoot, sponsored by Dixie Sporting Goods, the Hampton Inn, Microtel Inn & Suites and Papa John's Pizza.
Washington & Jefferson (1-4) also received double-digit scoring from Kayla Strimel, who had 13 points, Kara Seamon, who had 11 points, and Blair Cotton, who had 10 points. In addition, Vanessa Rivera dished out a game-high seven assists in the win. As a team, the Presidents shot 42.0% (21-of-50) from the floor and 55.6% (10-of-18) from beyond the arc.
Taylor Keegan paced Wooster (1-3) with 11 points. Karley Walker added 10 points and three assists, while Jessica Wingen contributed nine points and eight rebounds in the loss. The Scots convered 19-of-55 (34.5%) from the floor and out-rebounded their opponent 36-34.
The Presidents hit seven three pointers in the first 20 minutes and led 38-30 at intermission. A 21-10 run over the first 11 minutes of the second half helped Washington & Jefferson take complete control of the game.
