Tasha Williams (Little Hocking/Warren Local)# celebrated Senior Day with a career-high five service aces to lead her Marietta College volleyball team to a 3-2 non-conference victory over visiting Ohio Valley University Wednesday (Oct. 27) night at Ban Johnson Arena. [

The Pioneers (9-19) fought back from an 0-2 deficit after the Fighting Scots (3-24) took the first two sets by identical scores of 25-23. Marietta won set three 25-18 and set four 25-14 before sealing the match with a 15-8 victory in the fifth set.
Williams, Marietta's lone senior, was recognized for her dedication to the program before the game. In addition to five aces, the senior added nine digs and three kills, including the final kill of the match, which helped her walk off Fenton Court for the final time with a memorable victory..

Braun once again anchored the defense with 27 digs and increased her season total to 515. She is now seven digs shy of fifth place on the school's single season list for digs. Junior outside hitter #
Elizabeth Robbe (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park)# also helped spark the defense with a career-high 25 digs as well as a solo block and a block assist.
Marietta closes out its season Saturday (Oct. 30) afternoon when the Pioneers visit Ada, Ohio, for an OAC match-up with Ohio Northern University at 1 p.m.
