Danielle Staub (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet Regional)# scored her team-leading third goal of the season, and the Marietta College women's soccer team battled host Heidelberg University to a 1-1 draw Saturday (Oct. 23) night at Mayer Field. [

Staub's goal, which was assisted by junior #
Christina Tirpak (Galena/Olentangy)#, tied the game at 1-1 in the 72nd minute. Tirpak fed a pass to Staub and she fired a shot that deflected off the keeper and went into the back of the net.
Heidelberg (9-7-1, 2-4-1 OAC) had taken a 1-0 advantage in the 27th minute when Kelsey Hogan converted her 10th goal of the season on a header off a corner kick from Katie Klein.
The Student Princes out shot the Pioneers 18-8 overall and held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Kaitlyn Pearse (Galena/Olentangy Orange)# made four saves in 65 minutes, while sophomore #
Kelly Sommers (Shaker Heights/Shaker Heights)# had two saves in 45 minutes.
