Freshman middle blocker #Kathryn Hanssen# led the Pioneers (8-17, 1-5 OAC) with seven kills. Junior right side hitter #Meredith Storey (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls)# and freshman middle blocker #Paige DeVriendt (Bowling Green/Bowling Green)# both contributed five kills.

Sophomore setter #Dana Miller (Frazeysburg/Tri-Valley)# assisted 12 of the team's 25 kills, while sophomore setter #Ally Jenkins (Twinsburg/Walsh Jesuit)# added eight assists. Three different players collected to the offense with a single service ace.

Defensively, freshman libero #Jen Braun (Chagrin Falls/Kenston)# finished with a team-best 23 digs. Miller followed with 14 digs, and junior outside hitter #Elizabeth Robbe (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park)# had 11 digs. Hanssen finished with a team-high three block assist, while Robbe pitched in with two and sophomore outside hitter #Alex VanGundy (Powell/Olentangy Liberty)# had one.

Marietta's next match is Saturday (Oct. 23) afternoon when it plays host to #14 Heidelberg University inside Ban Johnson Arena at 1 p.m.
