MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College fell at home 3-0 to visiting Wilmington College in Ohio Athletic Conference men's soccer action Saturday (Oct. 16) afternoon at Marietta Field. [Box Score]

The Pioneers (0-12-3, 0-5 OAC) finished with 11 shots, including four on goal, while the Quakers (3-8-3, 1-4 OAC) had 18 total shots and 10 on goal.

Wilmington took a 1-0 advantage when Drew Hansen fired a shot into the upper left corner of the net from 11 yards away in the 11th minute.

Henrik Hornnaess extended the Quaker's lead to 2-0 in the 39th minute when he bent a corner kick into the box, which deflected off the Pioneer keeper's hands and across the end line.

Wilmington capped the scoring in the 88th minute when Todd Woolum scored off his own rebound from a short distance away.

Marietta freshman #Chris Stollar (Marietta/Marietta)# had seven saves in the loss.

The Pioneers are back in action Tuesday (Oct. 19) afternoon when they visit Otterbein University at 4 p.m.
