NEW CONCORD, Ohio — Marietta College men's soccer fell on the road 2-1 to host Muskingum University Wednesday (Oct. 13) afternoon. [Box Score]

The Pioneers (0-11-3, 0-4 OAC) finished with an 11-8 advantage in shots on goal against the Fighting Muskies (8-4-2, 2-1-1 OAC) and both squad finished with four shots on goal.

All of the scoring came in the second half on Wednesday's Ohio Athletic Conference battle. Muskingum struck just 13 seconds after the intermission when Zane Satterfield sent a thru ball to John Molnar and Molnar finished off the play with his 11th goal of the season.

Marietta junior midfielder #Dustin Zimmerman (Hebron/Granville Christian Academy)# scored an unassisted goal in the 57th minute to even the score at 1-1. The goal was Zimmerman's fourth of the fall.

The Fighting Muskies broke the tie following a hand ball in the box in the 64th minute. Molnar converted the ensuing penalty kick to give his team the 2-1 win.

Marietta freshman #Bobby Thaxton (Milford/Milford)# made his first start of the year and had two saves in the loss.

Marietta is back in action Saturday (Oct. 16) afternoon when it plays host to Wilmington College at 3:30 p.m.
