MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College volleyball team was tested Saturday (Sept. 19) morning by a scrappy Kenyon College squad, but the Pioneers prevailed in straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-13) to improve to 3-0 at the

Marietta (9-3) was ignited offensively by sophomore right side hitter
Meredith Storey (Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Falls), who finished with a match-best 15 kills against Kenyon (2-10). Freshman middle blocker
Sarah Campbell (Twinsburg, Twinsburg) added 6 kills, while freshman outside hitter
Amanda Sawicki (Mentor, Lake Catholic) pitched in with 5 kills in the victory, the Pioneers' fourth straight. Freshman setter
Ally Jenkins (Twinsburg, Walsh Jesuit) dished out 25 assists in the match.
The Pioneers' offense was aided by 9 service aces, including 4 from freshman outside hitter
Jen Braun (Chagrin Falls, Kenston) and 2 from freshman right side hitter
Alex VanGundy (Powell, Olentangy Liberty).
