UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Marietta College women's soccer team continued its Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) schedule with a 1-0 loss to host John Carroll University Friday (Oct. 9) afternoon at Don Shula Stadium. The Pioneers fell to 3-7-1 overall and 0-3 in the OAC. The Blue Streaks improved to 4-8-1 overall and 2-1 in league play. [Box Score]

John Carroll out shot Marietta 16-9 overall and held a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal on Friday.

The Blue Streaks scored the only goal of the game in the 20th minute when Collene Harmon put away her second goal of the season off an assist from teammates Rachel Grdina and Elizabeth Daigler.

Marietta senior Jenna Freeman (Bay Village, Bay) finished with 8 saves, while John Carroll's Molly Gradowski had 6.

The Pioneers are back in action on Tuesday (Oct. 13) afternoon when Muskingum University visits Marietta Field for an OAC kickoff at 4 p.m.
