WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Marietta College women's soccer team traveled to Wilmington College on Wednesday (Oct. 21) night looking for an upset against the Ohio Athletic Conference's third place team. The Pioneers pushed the game to overtime before a Quaker goal was the difference in a 1-0 loss. [Box Score]

Jenna Curcio scored the game-winner three minutes into overtime when she took advantage of a loose ball in the box to put away her first goal of the season.

Wilmington (10-3-2, 5-1 OAC) out shot Marietta (4-9-1, 1-5 OAC) 21 to 10 overall and 6 to 4 in shots on goal.

Marietta senior Jenna Freeman (Bay Village, Bay) finished with 5 saves in the loss.

The Pioneers will look to regroup before Baldwin-Wallace College visits Marietta Field Saturday (Oct. 24) afternoon for another OAC showdown at 3:30 p.m.
