BEXLEY — Terry Mulholland and Jim Kennedy showed why they are Marietta's top pitchers as the Pioneers swept Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 23.
The Pioneers won the first game 8-1 as Mulholland (9-0) struck out four and scattered six hits for the complete-game win. In the second game, Kennedy gave four strikeouts and five hits for another complete-game victory.
Jeff Wiktorski went 3-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base, while Dave Thomas and Jon Shuler added two hits each in the opener.
Thomas remained hot at the plate in the second game as he went 4-for-5 with three runs and two stolen bases. Jon Finke added two hits and four RBI, while Jim Pancher and Mark Talarico each added triples.
