PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Just one day after earning his first win of the season, sophomore Terry Mulholland scattered four hits and struck out seven as Marietta defeated Wingate 7-1 on Sunday, March 6.
Mulholland (2-0) gave up one walk and an earned run.
The Etta Express (3-0) jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings as Marietta collected 13 hits on the day. Leading the way on offense was Mark Talarico with three hits and one RBI, while Jeff Chaney added two hits and two RBI.
Marietta's Dave Thomas, Jim Pancher, Monte Duncan and Jon Shuler each added two hits.
Wingate's Darryl Barrino went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI.
