PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Sophomore Ted Payne (1-0) scattered seven hits over six innings, while giving up two unearned runs, in Marietta's 7-2 victory over Butler on Tuesday, March 10.
 
After giving up two runs in the first inning, Payne kept the Bulldogs off balance the rest of the game.
 
Marietta's Dan Munday, Steve Yurchak and Jon Shuler each had two hits for the Etta Express. Munday led off the second inning with a double and scored when Ken Lisko grounded out to shortstop. Munday also scored in a three-run fourth inning that included RBI by Yurchak and Shuler.
 
Tim Blakeley and Chris Pritchett each had two hits for Butler.
