Burnham, a 1967 graduate, was the Way-Weigelt award winner his senior year at MC. He led the Pioneers to consecutive Dad Vail Championships in 1966 and 1967. Burnham’s crews lost only three races during his career at Marietta. A captain his senior year, Burnham led the Pioneer navy to the Gillette Cup in Germany and the Royal Henley Regatta in England.
After serving as an Ensign in the Navy from 1968 to 1970, Burnham took a position with Marsh-McLennon Insurance. He worked in their Boston branch for twelve years before being named as the manager for the Pheonix, AZ office. He now is the manager for the Marsh-McLennon office in Detroit, MI.
Burnham and his wife, Barbara Sweeton Burnham (MC ’69) reside in Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan with their two daughters Rebecca and Sarah.
