Mike Madeja (Ma-day-'ha). A 1951 graduate, Mike was a three-sport letterman, earning four monograms in baseball, three in football and two in basketball. As a four-year starter in center field for the Pioneers, he was picked by Don Drumm for the latter's All-Time All-College Baseball Team. In football, he played both offense and defense.
Mike, who retired in 1986, was in the cemetery business, working for various memorial parks in Pittsburgh and Arizona. He also sold campsites for Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. He and his wife, Mary, now live in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
