DeMark played four years of baseball earning three varsity letters for current Pioneer head coach Brian Brewer. He was named a second team All-American in 2004 and the OAC Kent Tekulve Pitcher of the Year in 2005.

DeMark earned first team All-OAC and All-Mideast Region honors in each of his final three seasons. He led the OAC in wins with 12 in 2004 and 10 in 2005. He also topped the OAC in strikeouts with 101 in 2004 and 76 in 2005.

The Etta Express won the OAC Regular Season Championship in 2004 and 2005. DeMark helped lead the Pioneers to the 2006 NCAA Mideast Regional and National Championships.

Following his time in the pinstripes, DeMark signed professionally with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League. He went to play in the San Diego Padre, Arizona Diamondback and Oakland Athletic organizations reaching the Triple-A level. He was a member of several minor league championship teams at both the Double-A and Triple-A levels and was named to multiple All-Star teams. DeMark played for Italy in the 2017 World Baseball Classic and has played internationally in Venezuela, Mexico and Taiwan.

DeMark earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Marietta College in 2006.
