Lisa Cromwell, a four-year varsity letter winner in volleyball, was a the starting setter on the volleyball team from 1994-97. She served as the team captain for three seasons and was named All-Ohio Athletic Conference as a junior. Cromwell earned two of the most prestigious awards an athletes can win at Marietta when she was named the 1998 Betty Cleland Award and Marietta’s OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner. Cromwell holds the school records for assists in a season (1,288 in 1996) and assists per game in a season (10.92 in 1996). She is currently second on Marietta’s all-time list for assists with 3,256. At the time of her graduation, Cromwell had the top-five single match performances for assists in a four-game and a five-game match, as well as four of the top five performances in a three-game match. A two-time Academic All-OAC selection, Cromwell was inducted into the Beta Beta Beta Biology Honor Society as well as the Freshman Honor Society. She was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years and served as an officer her junior and senior years.
Cromwell earned a degree in biochemistry from Marietta and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2002. She has worked as a practicing general dentist for 10 years and is currently the owner of her own practice, Conley Family Dental, in Westerville, Ohio. Cromwell and her husband, Dayne Conley ’96, reside in Plain City, Ohio, with their sons Cooper and Keegan and daughter Elliott.
