Ken Zeigler, '37. Had freshman been eligible for varsity competition in the mid-1930's, Ken would have won 12 letters rather that the nine he actually received, three each in football, basketball, and crew. He played on two Marietta College Ohio Athletic Conference championship teams, the 1935-1936 basketball squad and the 1936 football eleven. An end-halfback, he captained the 1936 football teams and gained All-Conference honorable mention. He also captained the basketball team during his senior year, 1936-1937. He was Number 2 oarsmen for crew.

A retired sales engineer at Westinghouse, Ken served four years as Marine Corps officer in the South Pacific during World War II, where he earned the bronze medal. He has been active in civic affairs in his hometown of Zelienople, Pennsylvania and won nine medals in the Pennsylvania Sate Senior Olympics in 1983 and 1984.
